How do bladder Botox injections work

Botox Pre-Treatment INSTRUCTIONS

1. Research & Consultation:

It’s always a good idea to do some research and understand what Botox entails. If you’re near the Vaughan, Woodbridge, or Maple areas, consider visiting Enriched Med Spa for an initial consultation.

2. Avoid Blood Thinners:

At least a week before your appointment, avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDs (like ibuprofen), and certain vitamins or supplements that can thin the blood (e.g., Vitamin E, fish oil).

3. No Alcohol:

Refrain from consuming alcohol 24 hours prior to your Botox treatment to avoid bruising.

4. Clean Face:

Come in with a clean face free of makeup.

5. Avoid Sun Exposure:

Minimize exposure to direct sunlight or UV tanning beds for about 24 hours before your treatment.

6. Inform your Specialist:

Let your specialist know if you’ve had any recent facial treatments (e.g., chemical peels, laser treatments).

7. Plan Ahead:

Botox appointments are typically quick, but set aside a bit of extra time, especially if it’s your first time. This ensures you’re not feeling rushed and can ask all necessary questions.

After Your Appointment:

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

1. No Touching or Massaging:

After your treatment, avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas for at least 24 hours. This helps prevent Botox from spreading to unintended muscles.

2. Stay Upright:

Try to stay upright for at least 4 hours after your treatment. This means no lying down flat, which could cause the Botox to shift.

3. Avoid Strenuous Exercise:

Wait at least 24 hours before engaging in intense physical activity.

4. Skip the Sauna & Hot Tub:

Avoid saunas, hot tubs, and excessive heat for 24 hours post-treatment.

5. Postpone Facial Treatments:

Avoid other facial treatments (like facials, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels) for at least two weeks.

6. Possible Side Effects:

Be aware of potential side effects like bruising, swelling, or headaches. These are generally mild and short-lived.

7. Follow-Up:

If it’s your first time or you’re trying a different treatment, we recommend a follow-up appointment in 2 weeks to assess the results and make any necessary adjustments.

8. Stay Hydrated:

Drink plenty of water after your treatment.

9. Inform your Specialist of Issues:

If you notice any unusual side effects or have concerns, don’t hesitate to contact Enriched Med Spa.
