Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), also known as the “Vampire Facial”, harnesses the power of your body’s natural healing response with its own regenerating factors.

With this elevated treatment, the rejuvenation process begins almost immediately, as your PRP contains a concentration of platelets – and thereby, an abundant amount of growth and active, injury healing factors. Clinically proven to significantly boost cellular growth and collagen production, it allows for damaged skin to be replaced with new and healthy skin. In addition to improving the integrity of your epidermis, the downtime when treated with PRP is significantly reduced thanks to its healing properties.

The PRP can also be injected to improve hollow under eyes, acne scars, and/or deep nasolabial folds!

how is microneedling with prp different than regular microneedling?

To answer this question, it’s important to understand that during any microneedling treatment, there are micro-channels created on the skin through controlled wounding.

The difference between these 2 treatments comes from the agent being used.

Regular microneedling, at Enriched Med Spa specifically, uses the SkinFuse Lift Gel, which is a topical gel formulated to aid with the skin’s hydration and healing.

Microneedling with PRP, however, leverages your own healing and growth factors. Combined with the effectiveness of microneedling to activate your body’s natural healing response, the result is a much more significant improvement in collagen and elastin production – at times, up to 1000%, depending on your overall health. In addition to this, your healing time is nearly halved and there is virtually almost no risk for an adverse reaction.

Another superior advantage of a Microneedling with PRP is the opportunity for your plasma to be injected into the epidermis, furthering even greater skin renewal, and especially targeting deep acne scars and hollow under eyes.

How many treatments DO I NEED?

There are many factors that will cause the recommended number of treatments to vary. These include the client’s unique concerns, goals, current skincare routine, and body’s healing response.

With microneedling treatments, we are encouraging the skin to produce more collagen and increase its natural cell turnover rate, because of this, repeated and consistent therapy is always necessary. This is why we will always recommend that clients start with a package of 3-6 with regular maintenance treatments to ensure the results are long lasting.

With more severe concerns such as skin laxity, acne scars, and deep wrinkles, a minimum of 6 consistent treatments is recommended.

pre-care instructions:

Discontinue use of products containing active ingredients (ie. Salicylic acid, AHA, Retinoids, Benzoyl Peroxide, Vitamin C) and any exfoliating or abrasive treatments 7 days prior to your treatment (ie. scrubs, cleansing brushes)
Avoid excessive sun exposure 5-7 days prior to your treatment
Avoid hair removal procedures in the treatment area (ie. electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams, laser hair removal, shaving) 5-7 days prior to your treatment
Avoid having any other skin treatments on the area for 2-4 weeks prior to your treatment
Avoid consumption of alcohol and blood thinners (ie: Advil, Tylenol, Midol, anti-inflammatory medications, Coumadin, Warfarin, Xarelto, Pradaxa, fish oil, flax seed, garlic, green tea, multi-vitamin, vitamin E, omega 3’s) 48 hours prior to your treatment
Ensure you do not have significant active acne, as microneedling can spread acne bacteria
To ensure optimal results and healing, it’s highly recommended that you are eating a well balanced diet, staying hydrated, and getting quality sleep weeks leading up to your treatment
Ensure you are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
Ensure you are not on any immunosupressants (medications for autoimmune diseases)
Ensure you are not currently sick or have any infections that would require you to be on antibiotics within 2 weeks of treatment

You may experience inflammation, redness, itching, sensitive skin, and possible breakouts for the following 1-7 days
You may experience some swelling in certain areas such as around the eyes for the following 1-3 days
Do not touch your face for a minimum of 4 hours following the treatment
It is recommended to avoid sweaty exercise and sun exposure for 3 days following the treatment
Avoid washing your face the night after the treatment
Ensure you’re using a clean/new pillow case and face towel following your treatment
Ensure your glasses and any other items that touch your skin are sanitized before usage
Wash your face the next day with a gentle cleanser, apply a gentle moisturizer, and sunscreen with at least 30+ SPF and broad spectrum protection
Avoid wearing makeup for at least 3 days following your treatment and ensure your makeup tools are all clean and sanitized when using
Avoid applying any skincare products containing active ingredients for 5-7 days following the treatment
Purging (developing breakouts) is common after some treatments, as impurities are brought to the surface of the skin

Appointment policies

If a client arrives 10-15 minutes later than their appointment time, we cannot guarantee treatment. If a client arrives 15+ minutes later than their appointment time, we cannot perform treatment and this will be considered a “no-show”.

Please try to give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours will be considered a “last minute cancellation”.

If a client has 2 or more “no shows” and/or “last minute cancellations”, we will require a $50 deposit per service before booking any future appointments. The deposit will be applied to treatment total. If a client cancels within 24 hours or does not show up to their appointment, their deposit will be forfeited. If the client books a pre-purchased service and shows up to their appointment, their deposit will be refunded after the appointment is completed.
