These Hair Restoration treatment options will temporarily restore your follicles’ ability to regrow hair, therefore repeated and consistent therapy is required, which is why a series of treatments and maintenance treatments are necessary for optimal results.

WHO IS AND ISN'T A CANDIDATE FOR PRP HAIR RESTORATION?

Ideal candidates are those experiencing hair loss, thinning, and/or alopecia for many months to a few years. There should be hair follicles that are still partially active, but with little or weakened growth.

Individuals who are completely bald are not candidates for the treatment. Additionally, those with some health conditions and autoimmune disorders may not be candidates for treatment.

pre-Care instructions:

7 Days Before Treatment:

Avoid any blood thinning products and/or medications such as: advil, tylenol, midolm anti-inflammatory medications, coumadin, warfarin, xarelto, pradaxa, fish oil, flax seed, garlic, ginkgo biloba. Green tea, multi-vitamin, vitamin E, omega 3’s
If you are currently taking any prescription medications, please advise your medical personnel, as these medications may represent a contraindication for this treatment
Please let your medical personnel know if you are taking any beta-blocking medication such as: Inderal (Propranolol); this medication may need to be changed to a selective beta-blocker in advance of the treatment

3 Days Before Treatment:

Alcohol consumption should be avoided up to 2-3 days prior to treatment.
Please refrain from smoking tobacco prior to the procedure as it can have an impact on your healing process
For Hair Treatment – coloring your hair is permitted up to 7 days before your scheduled treatment
Increase your fluid intake 1-2 days before your procedure. (e.g. drinking 2 glasses for breakfast, lunch and dinner, in addition to your normal fluid intake)

day of treatment:

Shower the morning of your treatment and wash your hair very thoroughly using your regular shampoo
Do not apply sprays, gels, or any other styling products to your hair.
If you wear a hair system, please remove it prior to shampooing and do not wear it before your PRP treatments
Please ensure to eat a good breakfast or lunch the day of your PRP session.
Please ensure to keep hydrated and drink at least a bottle of water (500 mL) 2 hours before your session

post-care instructions:

Bruising, redness, itching, swelling and/or soreness are normal effects that you may experience after treatment lasting approximately 2-5 days following your treatment. You may take Tylenol if you experience any pain or discomfort
You may feel a tingling sensation after your treatment; this is normal, it means that the treatment is working and your cells are currently being activated
Ice application should be avoided due to its reduction of inflammation
Continue to avoid aspirin, Motrin, Iburprofen, Naproxen, Voltaren and other anti-inflammatory medications for at least 3 days after your procedure
Please avoid any strenuous exercise for a minimum of 48 hours after treatment
Please avoid any excessive sun exposure, and heat exposure such as: saunas and steam rooms for a minimum of 2 days after your treatment
Do NOT wet your hair for at least 3-4 hours after your treatment; do not use any hair products for at least 6 hours after treatment
If possible, try to use a pH balanced shampoo for the first several days after treatment, as it will further help stimulate hair growth in the scalp area. (e.g. Live Clean Professional Healthy Scalp Balancing Shampoo, Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash)
Be sure to take a hot shower and wash your hair right before going to sleep the day of your treatment, to promote the effects of the treatment
Continue to avoid alcohol, caffeine, and smoking for 3 days after treatment. Smokers do not heal well and problems recur earlier and results may take longer
Avoid resuming Minoxidil (e.g. Formula 82M, Rogaine), hair coloring, and straightening for 3 days
It is vital to continue increased water intake the first week after your treatment
Continue to avoid using blood thinning products or medications for at least one week after your treatment

Appointment policies

If a client arrives 10-15 minutes later than their appointment time, we cannot guarantee treatment. If a client arrives 15+ minutes later than their appointment time, we cannot perform treatment and this will be considered a “no-show”.

Please try to give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours will be considered a “last minute cancellation”.

If a client has 2 or more “no shows” and/or “last minute cancellations”, we will require a $50 deposit per service before booking any future appointments. The deposit will be applied to treatment total. If a client cancels within 24 hours or does not show up to their appointment, their deposit will be forfeited. If the client books a pre-purchased service and shows up to their appointment, their deposit will be refunded after the appointment is completed.
