DERMAL FILLER

WHAT IS DERMAL FILLER?

Dermal filler is made up of a sugar, called hyaluronic acid, which naturally exists in our bodies. Dermal filler can last between 6 months or up to 2 years depending on the amount used, type of filler used, the client’s metabolism, and the area being treated.

Here at Enriched Med Spa, we choose to use dermal filler by Juvéderm and Teoxane. Feel confident being treated by our highly trained and experienced nurse injectors.

WHAT can DERMAL FILLER TREAT?

Dermal filler is used to instantly restore volume loss which helps make you look well-rested and rejuvenated. It can be used to enhance cheeks, lips, and temples. It also softens deep lines like smile lines and the hollows around the eyes.

how does it work?

Dermal fillers are made of  hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that is naturally found in the human body. It binds water and retains it in the skin, keeping the skin hydrated and nourished, while also adding plumpness and volume. As a result, treatment with dermal fillers diminish the fine lines and wrinkles. It is also naturally broken down by our own bodies.

when will i see results?

Dermal filler results are immediately visible following your treatment and will gradually improve over the next couple weeks after treatment. Final results would be assessed at the follow up appointment in  2 weeks time from your initial treatment.

HOW LONG DO THE AFFECTS OF A TREATMENT LAST?

The effects of dermal filler can last quite long – anywhere from 8 months to 2 years. The longevity of results depend and vary on a number of factors including the client’s age, metabolism, area treated, type and quality of filler used, amount of filler used, and lifestyle.

is dermal filler safe? what are the side effects?

Yes, the dermal filler brands and products we use are both FDA and Health Canada approved.

Mild swelling, redness and bruising is commonly seen after filler injections and may take 1 to 2 weeks to fully subside.

As long as the pre and post care instructions are followed by the client and the treatment is properly administered by the injector, the likelihood of adverse effects are minimized.

HOW MUCH DERMAL FILLER WILL I NEED? WHAT IS THE COST?

The amount of dermal filler, and therefore the cost of your dermal filler needed will depend on each individual. Some contributing factors may include the area being treated, the desired result, and how many treatments have been received previously.

We encourage everyone to book a complimentary virtual or in person consultation with our nurse injectors for an accurate estimation of your treatment!
