You will notice a dramatic improvement in your skin within just 10 days of CoolPeel treatment. Through multiple treatments over the next 3-6 months, you will continue to see progressive improvement from CoolPeel as the deeper layers of your skin continue to heal. Depending on multiple factors, the results of CoolPeel can last between many months to multiple years. It is strongly encouraged and highly recommended that clients commit to a consistent and individualized skin care routine in order to maintain and optimize results.

CO2 lasers have been the gold standard in skin resurfacing for decades. A . What makes the CoolPeel outstanding and unparalleled as a CO2 laser, is its ability to use a rapid, short pulse of light to deliver high energy to the skin. This means our Medical Aestheticians can precisely control the injury caused to the superficial skin, there is less buildup of heat in surrounding tissues, and less lingering heat in the skin. As a result, there is reduced redness, peeling, and flaking of the skin after CoolPeel treatments compared to traditional CO2 lasers. Additionally, the CoolPeel uses a smart spray pattern that shortens the treatment duration to about 20-30 minutes compared to 1-2 hours with traditional CO2 lasers

Here at Enriched Med Spa, the CoolPeel is $850 plus tax per treatment. Depending on various factors, multiple treatments may be required to achieve the desired results. Most clients will find optimal results by starting with a package of 3 treatments.

pre-care instructions:

Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks before treatment and do not apply self-tanner for at least one week prior to treatment
Avoid ablative hair removal methods (eg. waxing, laser hair removal) 7 days prior to treatment
Discontinue use of active ingredients on the skin (eg. retinol, vitamin C, salicylic acid, AHA’s, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, sulfur) 7 days prior to treatment
Clients need to be off of Accutane for a minimum of 12 months prior to treatment
Clients need to be off of any antibiotics or photosensitizing medications 2 weeks prior to treatment
Clients with thick, coarse facial hair should have a cleanly shaven face the night before or the morning of the procedure – without visible stubble
If your skin is darker or you are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, you must use the recommended product formulated with hydroquinone consistently for 2 weeks and then stop usage 7 days before the treatment, to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Ensure you are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding

post-care instructions:

A sunburn sensation may linger for 12-24 hours after the treatment
Keep a very thin layer of a protective balm on as needed for up to 3 days post-procedure, ensuring the skin does not dry out
Avoid makeup for a minimum of 48 hours post-treatment
Sleep with a clean pillowcase and head slightly elevated; mild swelling may occur upon awakening for the first 48 hours post-treatment
Avoid the use of active ingredients on the skin (eg. retinol, vitamin C, salicylic acid, AHA’s, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone, sulfur) 7 days post-treatment
Avoid direct sunlight for 48 hours after your treatment and consistently apply a sunscreen with SPF 30+ and broad-spectrum protection weeks following the treatment to protect your skin and maintain the results
Avoid strenuous exercise that will cause sweating for 24 hours post-treatment
Avoid hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for 7 days post-treatment
Use clean, disposable, and breathable face masks for 3 days post-treatment
If your skin is darker or you are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, you must use the recommended product formulated with hydroquinone 7 days after the treatment, consistently to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Purging (developing breakouts) is common after some treatments, as impurities are brought to the surface of the skin
Clients of Fitzpatrick Skin Types 4-6 (of Asian, Mediterranean, Latin, African descent/ethnicity) or are prone to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, you must use the recommended product formulated with hydroquinone 7 days after the treatment, consistently to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

What to Expect Weeks After:

Week 1:

The skin may experience redness, swelling, and/or dryness
Micro scabs develop where treatment was performed, making the skin feel rough to the touch
Resurfacing and re-epithelialization of the skin will occur, which can appear as purging/breaking out or flaking skin
The use of gentle, hydrating, and protective skincare products is extremely important. We recommend the following products available at Enriched Med Spa:

Week 2-3:

Purging may still be occurring, ensure to avoid extracting and picking at the skin
Any remaining redness will subside
Skin may appear smoother and brighter
Micro scabs will naturally flake off, ensure to avoid scratching or peeling them prematurely to avoid prolonged redness, scarring, hyperpigmentation, or hypopigmentation
Slow reintroduction of active ingredients and exfoliation is highly encouraged, as the skin will be more receptive to these and your results will be optimized. We recommend the following products available at Enriched Med Spa:
- Vivier Radiance/Quintiserum/C E Peptides/Kine-C Serum
- Vivier GrenzCine Serum (or any Vivier vitamin C serum)
- Vivier GrenzCine Cream
- Vivier Retinol 1% Night Complex

Week 4-5:

New collagen and elastin production takes place, skin will appear more even, firmer, and smoother
Skin cell turnover will have increased, reducing enlarged pores, hyperpigmentation, and overall uneven skin tone and texture

Week 6+:

New collagen and elastic production and increased skin cell turnover will continue, furthering results
Results can last anywhere from 3-12 months, optimized and longer lasting with a consistent series of treatments and the use of an effective and individualized skincare routine
An additional CoolPeel treatment is recommended to take place at this point

Appointment policies

If a client arrives 10-15 minutes later than their appointment time, we cannot guarantee treatment. If a client arrives 15+ minutes later than their appointment time, we cannot perform treatment and this will be considered a “no-show”.

Please try to give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours will be considered a “last minute cancellation”.

If a client has 2 or more “no shows” and/or “last minute cancellations”, we will require a $50 deposit per service before booking any future appointments. The deposit will be applied to treatment total. If a client cancels within 24 hours or does not show up to their appointment, their deposit will be forfeited. If the client books a pre-purchased service and shows up to their appointment, their deposit will be refunded after the appointment is completed.
